The Ohio AAP recognizes that pediatricians are working harder than ever with increasing time constraints. The leadership at Ohio AAP has discussed various resolutions to the dilemma faced by pediatricians everywhere. How do you find the time? Where are the opportunities?
We believe at Ohio AAP that involvement is defined by opportunity. So we've expanded the opportunities by restructing our committees to better serve our members. The availability to teleconference is now a standard option for those who cannot travel, providing the convenience of home or office participation.
Involvement is also defined by regional issues or even a single occurrence. Your experience or opinion expressed to a local official or coalition partner involves you! A phone call, letter or e-mail that shares what you know defines involvement. It may be one isolated meeting, conversation, or correspondence that makes a lasting difference.
Proactive involvement adds purpose and generates pride in our profession, organization, and in ourselves.
