AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE DUE AUG. 31 – If you would like to nominate a pediatrician or community leader for a 2010 Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics Award, please submit your nominees by Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010. The awards will be presented at our Annual Meeting luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at the Marriott Northwest in Dublin. FIRST OUNCE OF PREVENTION WEBINAR IS AUG. 24 – The first of many Ounce of Prevention webinars will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. Attendees will receive 1 free hour of CME. The Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound toolkit was developed to address the growing epidemic of childhood obesity. The goal was to provide primary care providers with simple tools to educate parents in obesity prevention strategies by making good nutritional and physical activity decisions for their children.
