Open Forum

Each year Ohio AAP offers two meetings for pediatricians, behavioral health providers, legislators, residents, nurse practitioners and interested organizations. These free meetings provide time for an open dialogue about health care in Ohio, and also offer free continuing medical education credits. These Open Forum meetings are a great opportunity to learn and share your thoughts with other professionals from around the sate and at the same time influence Ohio AAP policy.

If you haven't attended any previous Open Forum meetings, the agenda begins with a brief 10-15 minute presentation by each of the panelists followed by questions and discussion. Then audience members break into smaller groups and discuss ways that the Ohio AAP can help with the problem. A representative from each of these breakout groups then reports back to the general group with their suggestions. These suggestions are then taken to the Ohio AAP Executive Board for consideration and action.
